Question: pell grant question?
if I decide to change classes and I end up dropping below the 12 hour minimum to be considered a full time student, does pell grant also change, or does it remain the same?

Answer: It depends on when you change your schedule. If the Pell ...
It depends on when you change your schedule. If the Pell has already paid at 12 credits and you have been billed at 12 credits, nothing will change when you drop a class. If you drop the class prior to the Pell being paid it will change based on the number of credits you are actually enrolled for. Check with your school's financial aid office to be certain where you will fall in this category when you make the change.

Answer: It all depends on YOUR college's financial aid office ...
It all depends on YOUR college's financial aid office rule in regards to this question. Normally if you already received your grant and you fall below the minimum to qualify for it, you will have to pay back the remaining amount. But if this happenens they will calculate the amount and you will not be able to get and financial assistance until it as been paid to the U. S. Dept. of Education. If you did have to pay back and refuse to pay or whatever your reason might be, by law that can take the amount owe from you tax returns. SO I strongly suggest to contact your college financial aid office and go from there.

they already decide how much 2 give you so I dnt think it will change but every school is different.

Nope

Call your financial aid office and ask them. But the criteria is different for summer semesters, so maybe.

Answer: If you went full time last fall 07 and this spring 08 then ...
If you went full time last fall 07 and this spring 08 then you would get no pell at all because you earned the max in those two semesters. If you did not attend during those semesters at all or only went one or part time, you might. Best to do is call the schools fin aid office. Full time in the summer is only 6 hours not 12 so the FULL amount is only half what it would be during a regular semester. Good luck.

Question: I got my award letter for the fall semester, I will receive a pell grant for 990.00 thats the only thing?
i will get? can I still apply for loans, taking 2 classes.

Answer: If you have to you should be allowed to take out loans, ...
If you have to you should be allowed to take out loans, yes.

Answer: Go to the financial aid office and ask why you did not ...
Go to the financial aid office and ask why you did not receive the state scholarship or SEOG funds. I assume you should have received these but each school is different but it is worth a try to ask them. Also, you can request a loan if you are enrolled for at least 6 credit hours. Check with the financial aid office.

Question: What are the odds I will get a pell grant?
i am a single mom, last year I made about 11,000 adjusted gross income. this year I was promoted and making 30,300 annualized. I am going to rasmussen college, which is 370$ per credit. family contribution expected is 0. do you think I will get the pell grant?

Answer: If your EFC is 0 then, yes, you will get a Pell Grant.
If your EFC is 0 then, yes, you will get a Pell Grant.

Answer: Since your EFC is 0, you should receive maximum financial ...
Since your EFC is 0, you should receive maximum financial aid which includes maximum Pell. In addition, you should receive SEOG, state scholarship, ACG grant, and Perkins loan (3%). Although there are different qualifications for each one, I would check with the financial aid office to see if you qualify for any of these grants. Each school is different and the school usually receives a limited amount of these funds to distribute to the students who complete the FAFSA early and are the most neediest. Next school year, (2009-10) it looks like your EFC will increase because you earned more money in 2008 which means you may not be eligible for grants, therefore save any excess funds that you receive this year in anticipation for next year when funds may be low.

Answer: If your EFC is 0 now then yes you will get the full ell ...
If your EFC is 0 now then yes you will get the full ell grant 3,700 if you attend school full time next year. You will not likely qualify for a pell (after the spring of 09) because of the huge jump in income for 07. You need to anticipate this and evaluate if you can afford this school after spring of 09, and if you can't you need to transfer to a school you can. I would do this sooner rather than later, there is nothing worse than spending the next year taking classes (on someone Else's dime) and them not counting towards anything when you have to leave for lack of funds. hope this helps.

Question: Can I receive cal grant c and a pell grant?

Answer: receive what?
receive what?

Answer: You can receive those grants only if you meet the income ...
you can receive those grants only if you meet the income requirements. Your family has to make under a certain amount of money.
