StudentFinAidInfo - Pell Grant Transfer, Pell Grant Eligibility Question: SCHOLARSHIPS & a PELL GRANT?.?
I was wondering is it possible to be recieving a pell grant and a scholarships or does it depend on how much they give you for a pell grant to see if they give you a scholarship so they won't be giving you too much money?...
& a few days ago I asked a question about the adding people in household & when I did fafsa I had to do verification, so then the advisor at school went it and changed it to 5 ppl, so I went back in & realized its suppose to be 7 so I changed it back. I went to the financial aid office & told them so I thought I was going to have to do alllll of the of the forms again but they only gave me the form to show how many ppl lives in house?. is that all I needed to do?. I asked bcuz im afraid that I will be missing forms and not know..
& advisors at the school is soo mean and nasty they might be telling me thats all when there is more..Answer: scholarships and then pell grant. Pell is issued on a basis ...
scholarships and then pell grant. Pell is issued on a basis of what you will need that you can't afford.
Make copies of all your forms that you filled out. High school counselors aren't the brightest or the nicest. I would go to a community college or the college you were interested and use THEIR financial aid staff.Answer: Hi Love, I'm trying to help you but I'm not ...
Hi Love, I'm trying to help you but I'm not understanding the question this time. Short, concise questions. Like will the school change XXX based on my?Question: Pell Grant Eligibility, for EMT/Paramedic?
Am I eligible to receive a Pell Grant if I am going to be taking courses at a local hospital for a career in the EMT-B and eventually would like to end up a full blown Paramedic. I will be 25 in June, I have no source of income,I live in low income subsidized government housing and I lost job and I want to get into a career that is both rewarding to myself as well as helping others, with out having to go through 4+ years of college. If I'm not could any fellow Paramedics and EMT's point me in the right direction of Financial Aid... The application form for the courses say they accept ? GM TAP ? Work First ? Agency Tuition Assistance
All of which I looked online and didn't see anything. I also don't really know what I'm looking for so really any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much in advance!
I will be taking the courses through the local Hospital, not a school. It's the only thing available in area. I don't have a car, so I have to stay close.Answer: Pell Grant eligibility depends upon the institution you are ...
Pell Grant eligibility depends upon the institution you are going to, as well as your personal information. If the school is not eligible to award Pell Grants, then you cannot receive one for attending that school. Check with the school to find out for sure. If they don't offer federal financial aid (like Pell Grants), then check out other schools. I know there are approved schools that offer Paramedic training.
Good luck!Answer: You can get Pell for EMT Paramedic programs, but not at all. ...
You can get Pell for EMT Paramedic programs, but not at all. It sounds like this is being offered at a hospital, not a school. Contact the nearest community college. They will offer this program as well and you might qualify for Pell or other federal aid to attend. You can tell if the school is eligible for Pell by going to the www.fafsa.ed.gov site and clicking on the "Look up a school code" link.
Good luck.Answer: This is off the top of head but I would think in order to ...
This is off the top of head but I would think in order to qualify for a PELL you need to be going to an accredited college full time. So unless the classes are certified through a college but you physically take it at the hospital and you're taking certain amount of college credit then no.
I would think you could go and get your associate's degree at a community college and get it paid for by the state and get your EMT certification at the same time and then it would be paid for. You can also get paper work that would say you have not gotten any financial support from your family for a year or so and therefore their finances would not count. My mom had the bank writing they would not offer her any kind of loan for schooling and therefore her income didn't count in a financial aid statement.Question: College Financial Aid I was awarded a pell grant, Seog and work/study if I go part-time?
will I lose grants if I go part-time?
Will I get any refund on what I dont use?
My pell grant is $4700
SEOG $600
Work study is $600Answer: If you decide to go part-time, you would probably lose your ...
If you decide to go part-time, you would probably lose your grant or have it cut. If your tuition is paid in full and you still have left over money, it goes to you for whatever you want to use it for. I would get books, supplies, lab stuff, then do something with the rest (booze).Answer: If you are attending only part-time, your Pell Grant will be ...
If you are attending only part-time, your Pell Grant will be reduced. And depending on your school's policies, so may your FSEOG and Work Study.
Talk to someone in your financial aid office about attending part-time, and how it could affect your financial aid.
As far as getting a refund, if you still have money left after all your tuition, fees, etc are paid off, then yes, you could get a refund.Question: My EFC I just got back was 354, and I have been searching the web, How much do I get for the pell grant?
I have been looking on line and they say that a low score is better, but I cant find out what a # is for a low score, mine was 354, so does anyone know what financial aid I may get?Answer: If you meet about a million requirements like good college ...
If you meet about a million requirements like good college GPA, no defaulted student loan, no bachelors degree, not too many attempted hours, etc. etc, etc. You will likely be offered $2,190.50 in the fall 08 and $2,190.50 in the spring 09 in federal Pell grant if you attend full time.
You will prob be offered others as well, but that is best guess for the Pell.Answer: The Financial Aid Advisor at your university makes the final ...
The Financial Aid Advisor at your university makes the final determination based on your EFC and the cost of attendance. They're the only ones that can tell you exactly what you'll be receiving.Question: Pell grant wait or enroll ?
hey, I would like to enroll wih thomas edison state college for a BA, FAFSA efc is around 6500 because I was working a lot in 07 however I didnt work in 08 at all, should I wait until January to get a Pell grant and then enroll with tesc? any suggestions info would be welcome, ah it's first BA and never had any student loan or Pell Grant before, thanks ah one last thing as FAFSA is based on tax should I wait to file tax for 08 or I can file the fafsa starting after Jan 09 ? thanksAnswer: Your 2007 income and tax forms for the 08-09 fafsa will ...
Your 2007 income and tax forms for the 08-09 fafsa will still be used to determine fin aid for the Spring 09 semester if you choose to wait and enroll then.... so the EFC of 6,500 will still apply. (Also be aware this is not the amount you will have to pay for school).
When you do your 2008 income tax return it will be used to calculate fin aid for the 2009-2010 school year. Yes, you can fill it out in January, but most folks don't have their W2 forms yet and cant file. It is best to do taxes early that year and then do the fafsa before Valentines day.
I would not wait to start college. Simply because if you do wait that long there is no "guarantee" you'd qualify for the Pell with your 08 income. If you have to go to a cheaper school that first year or semester, that would be okay. Or you could choose to attend just part time to keep your costs down.
Good luck, hope it helps. |
